Happy Wednesday from 1st Light Ministries!
You will see a quote that my son gave me a few weeks ago in my blogs, text, conversations and just anything I am involved in lately,
“It’s a good day to have a good day”!
On the other side of that mindset is the infamous… it’s another day to have a bad day?
I don’t think so devil!
I have been commanded by Jesus to tell people “the good news about the Kingdom of God”!
How can I spread the gospel, the good news, with a bad attitude? You and I have the privilege of partnering up with God, using the power, the discipline and the authority of the Holy Spirit, just like Peter and Paul, just to name a couple… We are baptized and filled with the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead! The same Holy Spirit that Peter had when he told the lame beggar, “silver and gold I have none but what I do have, GET UP AND WALK IN THE NAME OF JESUS”
I drove through Chick FIL A yesterday, I have a Jeep with no doors, no top just as open as it can be.
The young lady, Hannah, that was waiting on me and inquired about my jeep, my ducks and Jesus figurine on the dashboard. I simply grabbed a pocket Jesus and handed it to her, then I asked if I could pray for her. I didn’t lay hands on her, she actually put her right hand on my shoulder as I spoke a prayer… “let your kingdom come in Hannahs’ life, I speak blessings in Jesus name, blessings that will override any curses or affliction of the day”
As I finished, of course the rest of the employees were watching and Hannah had the biggest smile because the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave, the same Holy Spirit that empowered Peter to heal the lame beggar, used a red haired preacher in a Jeep to speak light into any darkness that was around… I love this stuff!
