Just a quick note to let y'all know that I will be preaching at the Alabaster Box church in Jackson, MS on March 15. When I have had the opportunity to speak at the Alabaster Box before, I usually will start speaking around 11:00. Please be praying for the Holy Spirit to be present in our meeting for deliverance, healing and salvation!
With the winter weather storm Fern about to rip through the US, I want to encourage everyone to pray for the affected population for safety, protection and of course NO power outages!
Well here it is almost the end of January 2026 and this appears to be my first post of the new year!
Oh my! Another year has come and now it’s just about gone.
The ISS flew over at 6:23 this morning, so I set my alarm for 5:30 and I had my stuff all set out to be on Lido beach before 6:23 so I could have the best view from there! Well… I didn’t hear my alarm, I woke up at 6:30 and just said “ok, I missed it this time”…
Then I couldn’t find my driver license, then I forgot my phone… I was just about ready to go back to bed but I love my morning walk… I talk to God, I see people and get smiles and “good mornings”, I enjoy a swim in the Gulf…it’s my favorite part of the day!
BUT, sometimes, as a matter of fact frequently, I get to pray for people.
After all the delays this morning, God had me at exactly the right spot to see a frequent walker named Leasha. She approached me and I immediately saw a look of despair on her face. I have prayed for her before so she knew that I was available to minister to her. After a brief chat where she opened up about issues she was going through, I placed my hand on her shoulder and said my favorite words, “ COME HOLY SPIRIT!” We had about a 3 minute prayer and God showed up! Her countenance completely changed, she had tears in her eyes, a smile on her face and JOY in her spirit!
As we walked away from each other, she went south, I continued north on the beach to complete my walk… I turned and she was actually skipping and dancing her way down the beach! She had the peace that Jesus promised that we would have, a peace that the world cannot provide nor understand!
I understood it though. She had been touched by the presence and power of God through my prayer and the Holy Spirits power of SOZO… deliverance, healing and salvation that only Jesus can provide!
I am so grateful that I overslept and had issues getting to the beach and missed seeing the ISS so that God could allow me to have an encounter with the Most High God of the universe!

As I was walking this morning on Lido Beach here in Sarasota, Florida… I felt the presence of a strange light behind me. I turned to see if someone with a flashlight was behind me (it was 6:30 AM, about 45 minutes before sunrise)… no one was there. This sense occurred 2-3 more times and I kept turning to see what in the world was up. Then I saw the light. It was a strange light, the sky was almost like day time, as you can see from the picture above. A brightness in the dark morning hours that I personally have never witnessed before. Was it “first light”, was my iPhone clock wrong? What in the world was happening?After taking numerous photos and videos and praying unceasingly in the Spirit, I was given a revelation by the Holy Spirit that was almost overwhelming! I was brought to my knees in prayer and felt a closeness with God in an unusual way. I couldn’t stop praying… was this the rapture? With all the talk of a Feast of Trumpets rapture for next Tuesday, I was almost convinced that the days were off and Jesus was actually coming through the clouds from the east to snatch us believers away TODAY! That is when the Lord told me that no matter what hour of the day or night it happens to be, the light drives out the darkness! Jesus wasn’t coming to rapture us right now but he was showing me and anyone else seeing this phenomena that in the twinkling of an eye he can and will return.

Happy Wednesday from 1st Light Ministries!
I have had some fantastic experiences with the Holy Sprit before. Just that feeling of Gods presence that personally overwhelms me. I’m a cryer and this week I have cried everyday, one day (Tuesday), I cried all day long! Not a painful or hurting cry but a cry of serenity and peace that I can’t control. I really can’t even understand it.
1st Light Ministries is honored to be a part of the Harbor Life beach baptisms on August 2, 2025.
What can I say? After a turbulent 2024, with changes in pretty much every aspect of my life, I had full intentions of blogging at least once per week if not daily. As you can see, I didn’t hold up to that promise. However, today, August 1, 2025 is the new “start date” for a new commitment to that goal!
With the month of December starting today, I am getting into the Christmas spirit. I am wondering what gifts to get for family and friends and also being asked, “Jeff, what do you want for Christmas this year?”
With 2 hurricanes, damage, loss of power for a week, no gasoline and then extensive clean up for our house, neighbors and churches… I just quit blogging on the site. Bear with me as we get back to normal and I will continue to let you all know what God is doing in 1st Light Ministries!
In my life I have seen God use the most normal things to help me understand the most SUPERNATURAL things! I am a guy that wants to make things happen. This is a pro and a con in my character. If it needs to be done, I will do it and do it now. I don't like to procrastinate. As the comedian said, "get 'er Done"!
What a year it has been! Retirement, relocation and starting a new ministry just to name a few of the events that took place. My year of 2024 will go down in the books as a very sad year of losses, however I have to be excited about the visions and dreams that God has given me for 2025!
My main prayer now is that God will “use me as a tool to help him build his Kingdom”! In giving me that expression, I am seeing the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father as he continues to break my heart. You see, God is breaking the curses, strongholds and biases that I had allowed the enemy to apply to my life over the past years. God is opening new doors in ministry as he softens my once hardened heart! I have issues and strife but I have a God that can use me to minister even in my weakness. As a matter of fact, I feel that he is using me through my weakness.
2024 is about to be over and I for one am glad of that. Now, as 2025 comes into reality, the excitement of New Beginnings has me posting blogs at 3:30 in the morning! I’m excited to wake up and have the opportunity to pray instead of sleep. I’m excited to have the opportunity to meet new people and pray for them “Right Now”! I am most excited to see the Kingdom of God invade this world in the most profound way I have ever seen.
Let your Kingdom come Lord!

If you have read my blog before you know that every morning I walk and talk with the Lord! He has shown me mailboxes, churches that need a volunteer to help after the hurricane and many, many people to just be nice to. This Friday morning he showed me a first light that was awesome! A blue streak right down the middle of the sky! I didn't think it had any meaning other than, “Check this one out Jeff”…. Then this happened...
A young girl who was walking on the bridge had stopped to look at it and I stopped along side her. She asked what it was that we were seeing? I said I didn't know what the blue streak was but the sky was first light. I told her about our ministry, how the darkness has to flee when the light appears and that Jesus is the light of Life. It was about a one minute conversation but she ended it by saying "if heaven looks like this, it is beyond BEAUTIFUL! I could just stand here all day and look at that sky!"
What a wonderful God we have, that he just throws in a beautiful first light morning to show me his variety and that girl was shown how beautiful God's creation is when we stop to look at it!

Every morning I walk 5 miles around 6:00 - 7:30 am. This is a little story to let you know about my walk and talk with the Lord this morning. For some reason I woke up around 2:30 this morning? I went ahead and did my Bible study which was 1 Corinthians 8, but I went ahead and read the whole book… around 4:30 I went for my 6:00 walk. As my phone was announcing that I had walked a mile, the Lord told me to pick a flower 🌸 for my sister. She is going to stay with my brother in law for a few days. He is quite ill, possibly in his final days…
