Well here it is almost the end of January 2026 and this appears to be my first post of the new year!
For anyone familiar with our website, it will come as no surprise that I have not posted any blogs for a while. Since retirement from the corporate world and moving to Sarasota, FL… I seem to stay busy doing nothing!
Well not exactly.
Since partnering with Harbor Life Church, I have been plugging in more and more with Pastor Mark in church leadership. Pastor Dowdy had me preach on December 28 which was the last Sunday of 2025.It was a welcome surprise and long past due. I hadn’t preached an actual church service since leaving Mississippi back in August 2024! I spoke at the Alabaster Box on August 25, 2024 just 2 days before leaving for SW Florida.
(speaking of the Alabaster Box, I will be speaking there on March 15 while visiting my hometown)…
Pastor Mark is fitting me into the schedule for preaching hopefully every 2-3 months. That is plenty for now as I have really been busy with family, our beach ministry and looking for a way to bring in a little income on top of retirement money.
The beach ministry has slowed a bit just because of cooler weather. It hasn’t been really cold but the morning walks on the beach have turned into afternoon walks. However, with the extra ministry at H L church, I have been making up for the missed time at the beach. As I write this I am actively restructuring the prayer team at Harbor Life as I have been given the privilege of leading our prayer ministry!
God has been working with me and for some reason I seem to cry ALL THE TIME! I am having a blast and I seem to be adapting to the retirement lifestyle more and more.
I have dozens of tales to write down but my iPad is running out of juice. So I am going to close for now.
As always, I hope to blog more regular and of course my days are full of seeing Gods GLORY in everything around me!
