As I was walking this morning on Lido Beach here in Sarasota, Florida… I felt the presence of a strange light behind me. I turned to see if someone with a flashlight was behind me (it was 6:30 AM, about 45 minutes before sunrise)… no one was there. This sense occurred 2-3 more times and I kept turning to see what in the world was up. Then I saw the light. It was a strange light, the sky was almost like day time, as you can see from the picture above. A brightness in the dark morning hours that I personally have never witnessed before.
Was it “first light”, was my iPhone clock wrong? What in the world was happening?
After taking numerous photos and videos and praying unceasingly in the Spirit, I was given a revelation by the Holy Spirit that was almost overwhelming! I was brought to my knees in prayer and felt a closeness with God in an unusual way. I couldn’t stop praying… was this the rapture? With all the talk of a Feast of Trumpets rapture for next Tuesday, I was almost convinced that the days were off and Jesus was actually coming through the clouds from the east to snatch us believers away TODAY! That is when the Lord told me that no matter what hour of the day or night it happens to be, the light drives out the darkness! Jesus wasn’t coming to rapture us right now but he was showing me and anyone else seeing this phenomena that in the twinkling of an eye he can and will return.
I cannot describe the sense of awe and wonderment that I was feeling in that 20 or so minutes.
Upon returning home, I “googled” the event and discovered that the aurora borealis ( Northern Lights) was showing much further south than usual. Even into SW Florida! Something to do with magnetic storms or something. All I knew was that the Lord spoke to me through this event, assuring me that he is God! YHWH, the creator of everything was showing me a light show that no money could buy, no theater could produce and nothing could duplicate. Only God Almighty can make this happen!
I look for God in everything and I see God in everything. From a grain of sand to dolphins swimming in the bay and even the early morning sky! This mornings light show has given me even more reason to look for what God is doing and to anticipate him revealing more revelations in every moment of my life!
Thank you Lord for giving me new mercy and grace this morning, and for blessing me with your presence and peace through a beautifully lit up sky this morning.
